One autumn day, I was raking leaves in the front yard, and as the lawn bag began quickly filling to the top; I pressed more leaves into the bag. Then I shook them together to create more room in the bag. When I pressed them down again and shook, the bag, I was able to get even more leaves into the bag. Jesus’ words fell on my heart that as we give, it will be given back to us in good measure. It will be pressed down, shaken together, and running over. Our Lord keeps filling our bags with blessings until we hardly have enough room to receive them.
